im guessing the reason is since they came from a meet they were on show goods in other words no slicks and lets face it 800+ hp on street tires is gonna be pretty worthless form a dig
I used to deal with guys who's egos were so big they'd jump the 3rd beep every time. Just take off next to for no reason etc.

My car makes that and it hooks on ET streets. Problem is you have to put effort into the suspension.
But why would you do that when you can have a bad ass dyno sheet?

Most of these cars don't have a usable powerband. They make under 300hp below 5K RPM.
