Jersey is ridiculous, I've had my g19 since before 9-11, but I heard it's a nightmare now to get one in jersey and it takes a minimum of 3 months wait time. I do want another though so I'll have to apply soon.

it takes 6 months here. but once you have the permit you don't need to re-apply

In jersey you initially apply for a firearm permit and then a purchasing permit. A purchasing permit is only good for 90 days and you have to reapply for a purchasing permit every time you want to buy.

And I got my carry permit in 15 mins by walking into the Sheriff's office on my 21st bday, filling out a form and handing them $25 then walking out with my picture id.

Um no...PA just understands its inhabitants are going to carry one way or another so just make it easier to be legal. Plus we're an open carry state. You don't even need a permit to carry here. It's like the fucking Wild Wild West!!!
